Valeria Mireles died at age 20 on Monday, March 10.<\/p>\n

The cowgirl influencer, known as \u201cMiss Rodeo,\u201d died following a car accident that occurred in the northeastern state of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, Mexico.<\/p>\n

Further details on Mireles\u2019 death have yet to be made public. Her parents \u201casked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time,\u201d per Mexican news outlet\u00a0N+, providing no further comment.<\/p>\n

Mireles gained a following on social media for her cowgirl lifestyle and horseback riding, amassing around 100K followers across\u00a0Instagram\u00a0and\u00a0TikTok. She was nicknamed the \u201cMexico Rodeo Queen\u201d and was known for barrel racing, per her bio.<\/p>\n

Friends and family posted tributes to Mireles in the wake of her death, in addition to several people from the rodeo community.<\/p>\n

\u201cValeria was more than a rodeo queen; she was an ambassador of cowboy culture, an inspiration to many young women,\u2019 the Mexican Rodeo Federation\u00a0said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer smile lit up every arena, and her passion for rodeo was contagious. Although her passing leaves a void, her legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memory of rodeo,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n

In a statement\u00a0shared on Facebook, Mireles\u2019 uncle, David Gonz\u00e1lez, mourned her death sharing a photo of the rodeo queen. \u201cNiece Ana Valeria Mireles Villarreal, you will always live in our hearts,\u201d he wrote. \u201cWe will miss you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mireles\u2019 friend, Cindy, also penned a\u00a0tribute\u00a0paired with a roundup of photos alongside a lengthy, heartfelt caption.<\/p>\n
