Kim Kardashian<\/b>\u00a0called out her \u201cmomager\u201d\u00a0Kris Jenner<\/b>\u00a0on social media for promoting a product that competed with her own.<\/p>\n

Kim recently announced a collaboration between her shapewear brand SKIMS and Nike\u2014a partnership designed to revive the sport company\u2019s sales and appeal to women.<\/p>\n

\u201cIntroducing NikeSKIMS. A new brand coming this spring for the body obsessed. Designed to sculpt and engineered to perform,\u201d the 44-year-old reality star wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

However, a few hours later, Kris posted a photo of herself wearing the LA-based athletic apparel brand Alo Yoga.<\/p>\n

\u201cCozy days in my @alo,\u201d she wrote, posing in her dark gray tracksuit and white sneakers.<\/p>\n

Kim held nothing back when commenting on her mother\u2019s ad. \u201cDid you really have to post this on the same day as my NikeSKIMS announcement?!?!?!\u201d thebusinesswomanwrote.<\/p>\n

While\u00a0Kris\u00a0has yet to respond to Kim\u2019s playful comment, many people have shared their thoughts on the mother\u2019s marketing move.<\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram stories, Kris supported her daughter\u2019s deal by sharing articles that announced the NikeSKIMS collaboration.<\/p>\n

Kim launched SKIMS in 2019. The shapewear brand, valued at over $4 billion, has previously collaborated with the Italian fashion house Fendi and outdoor performance clothing brand\u00a0The North Face.<\/p>\n

It is also the official underwear partner of the Women\u2019s National Basketball League (WNBA).<\/p>\n

The collection with Nike, announced on Monday (February 18), will debut this spring in select stores before being launched internationally in 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will invite even more athletes into sport and movement with product that makes them feel strong and sexy.<\/p>\n

SKIMS practices inclusive sizing. Kim said the collaboration will feature athletic clothing \u201cdesigned to sculpt and perform for every body.\u201d<\/p>\n

NikeSKIMS will include training apparel, footwear, and accessories for women.<\/p>\n

The launch is part of the sportswear giant\u2019s effort to appeal to female customers. Their \u201cSo Win\u201d\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0ad\u2014the first in nearly three decades\u2014was also targeted at women, highlighting the rise of female athletes and featuring basketball star Caitlin Clark and sprinter Sha\u2019Carri Richardson.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s activewear market is currently dominated by major players such as Canada-based Lululemon, Alo Yoga, and Vuori.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe women\u2019s business has faster growth and it has more potential growth in the future. Nike missed out on that opportunity that Lululemon exploited over the last 10-15 years,\u201d Morningstar analystDavid Swartz said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Skims partnership is an effort to grow a little bit faster in that area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naturally, the collaboration also benefits a newer brand like\u00a0SKIMS.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile Nike has an opportunity to leverage Skims\u2019s brand equity and cult following, the move also allows Skims to enter the realm of sport in a more serious way,\u201d\u00a0noted Krista Corrigan, retail analyst at EDITED.<\/p>\n

The new collection is a first for Nike, which hasn\u2019t partnered with an outside company before to create a new brand, as per\u00a0CNN<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Instead, the brand relied on acquisitions or tapping popular athletes like Michael Jordan for apparel.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, Nike reported an 8% drop in sales in its most recent quarter. After announcing its deal with SKIMS, shares rose nearly 3% in early trading.<\/p>\n
